Aichaa Nimaga is the Program Coordinator at the Ralph J. Bunche Center. In this role, she is responsible for assisting in coordinating of the center’s seminars, workshops, symposiums, and events. She also produces the monthly newsletter, manages the website and social media, and organizes the Bunche Brigade (our student group).

Aichaa Nimaga is a second year Master student at Howard University studying African Studies. She received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Black Studies at City College of New York. Her professional experience focuses on mentoring the future leaders of tomorrow.

In her last position as a Program Associate supporting the Mandela Washington Fellowship, a State Department funded program. She supported over eight institutes on the Civic Engagement track, which hosts young African leaders in a six-week intensive program during the summer. Previously, she interned at the Mott Foundation in Flint, Michigan, where she was introduced to the philanthropic sector. There, she was able to discover the importance of mentorship, as well as the impact of financial and emotional support as integral tools to allow students to be successful.

Her personal aspiration is to work within the philanthropic sector, to create opportunities, provide support and further promote international education, especially on the African continent.
