Tariah Hyland
Public Affairs Track
Tariah Hyland is a sophomore political science, legal communications minor at Howard University from Wilmington, Delaware. Hyland’s passions include uplifting and empowering students of color, reforming and enhancing policy efforts, and overall advocating for a better society. At Howard University, she serves as the Student Advocacy Director for the College of Arts Sciences and an Executive Board Member for the HU College Democrats. She also volunteers with the HU Special Olympics and the HU General Education Committee. Hyland has previously worked as an intern with Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester and the Emerson Collective. She hopes to continue gaining a plethora of experiences to prepare her for her career ahead. After graduation, she plans to pursue a law degree and work in politics to inform policy that will be for the betterment of marginalized communities.
