Jasmine Hughley
Public Affairs Track
Jasmine Hughley (B.S. ‘24) is a Mechanical Engineering major and mathematics minor from Georgia. Her interests meets at the intersection of environmental protection and automotive engineering. She aims to develop accessible and sustainable technology that helps solve the increasing degradation of the world’s ecosystem, which disproportionately affects low-income communities. She has participated in research and environmental advocacy as an intern with the University of Pennsylvania and Argonne National Laboratory. A Karsh STEM Scholar, Hughley aims to complete her doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of her academic pursuits, she is an active leader in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc; and she is a 2022 Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society Inductee. She also enjoys singing in the Howard University Community Choir.
