Jannella Pérez Torres

International Affairs Track

Jannella Pérez Torres (B.A. ‘23) is an interdisciplinary studies major with a concentration in international affairs with a double-minor in political science and economics. From Portland, Oregon, Pérez arrived in Washington, DC for the first time in January 2022 as a transfer at Howard University.  Focusing on federal public affairs, he plans on implementing policy that is sustainably and holistically focused. Before becoming a fellow, Pérez Torres was working in the non-profit sector of political advocacy in an organization called Hispanic Federation, the only federal non-profit organization devoted to Hispanic causes. In her free time, Pérez Torres volunteers at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center and is creating a website dedicated to holistic living. Through holistically centered education, she envisions bridging communities together throughout the Western hemisphere.
